When Brave Newbies Inc first started, there were not many new-player-friendly groups within the confines of New Eden. As we grew, and times changed, so have thoughts, prevailing attitudes, and cultures. And we like to think of that as our own cultural victory.

So what is the difference between Brave Newbies and other organizations? It comes down to philosophy.

There are many who would tell you how to play EVE. The difference is, in Brave Newbies we let you play EVE the way you like. The game is massive, and if you are going at it alone –it’s an incredibly difficult experience you’ll struggle with in solitude.

Why not struggle with us?

Just like real life, EVE Online is a bit overwhelming. And there is no one way or correct style to play. There are merely those who insist; and those who abide. In Brave, we created our own path: The Way of Fun.

We don’t force you to train doctrines, have an arbitrary number of kills, or skill points, to join us on fleets. Day 1 newbies can always fly with us. There is always room in fleet for you, and there is always something a new player can contribute.

If you want to have a good time with people from all over the world, we are for you. If you have no idea what I am talking about, well then — we’re absolutely for you!

We want to encourage the new player and veteran alike to do what she wants to do. Go out and seek what you want out of this game whether it be PVP, mining, station trading, or simply offering advice to players.

And here is the difference; if you cannot find it in Brave Newbies Inc. feel free to look elsewhere. As stated previously, times have changed and there are many different new player organizations who are better at EVE in different ways than others. Go. See them for yourself. Check them out. Ask them questions. You can always come back or even ask our opinion on other groups if you feel you are not sure Brave Newbies is right for you.

The game is massive. A player should experience as much as they can and have a well-rounded experience. Find out what you like, what you don’t like, and what you absolutely cannot bloody tolerate.

It’s the whole point of a game, right? To treat it like a game. And there is no other group better at playing the game than Brave Newbies. Sometimes groups can forget that. And sometimes, so can we we’re only human after all. 😉 But, it’s always nice to balance hubris with humility; temper isk per hour with fun per hour.

In Brave Newbies we value your personal liberty and freedom to fly. Be yourself, be happy, and have fun. Just like IRL. Or as Oscar Wilde said,

“Twenty Years From Now You Will Be More Disappointed By The Things You Didn’t Do Than By The Ones You Did Do”

The same holds true for this game.
